Small to medium-large-sized rocks can be used as a ground cover alone or around plants to create a rock garden. While a very large rock can add a focal or accent to your area. The advantage of rocks, particularly when used as a ground cover, is they don’t have to be replenished yearly. The disadvantage is sometimes it can be difficult to keep weeds and debris out of the rock bed. Often leaves from trees and shrubs, fallen flowers from plants, and cut grass can creep into the rocks. But, overall, rocks are a simple way to add a decorative design to your garden areas and enhance the aesthetics of your property.
