QUESTION FROM READER:
I live in Stuart, Virginia, where we’ve had some rain but not a lot. I’ve noticed more weeds in our yard this year, particularly clover. They also seem to be popping up sooner. When is the best time to apply weed control, and is there one you recommend?
GL365 RESPONSE:
Dear Reader,
Pesky weeds! We feel your pain. No one wants to see weeds cropping up in their grass, especially hard-to-pull ones like clover. So, having a regular lawn care schedule is key. At GL365, we follow a regular schedule every year.
We start the year with pre-emergents to control crabgrass, continue with a weed and feed and turf fertilizer, and finish with a fall/winter fertilizer. Following a regular, consistent schedule prevents many weeds from germinating and keeps your grass free and clear like this…
