It’s that time again…fall has arrived!🍁 Cooler temperatures and breezy air 🍃🍂—we like this time of year. At last, we can get back to more gardening without the stifling heat and humidity.
Clean-up
So now is the time to start cleaning up your summer blooms. Many annuals and perennials will last until the first frost. But some plants need a bit of cleanup after summer. Deadhead your plants and trim back flowers that may have gotten leggy.

Grass Maintenance
You’ll also want to begin aerating and seeding or over-seeding your cool-season grass. Summers can be tough on these grasses. So, over-seeding will fill in any brown patches or bare spots. If you are seeding a new lawn, this is the time for cool-season grass.
Projects & More
It’s also a good time to start projects that can be finished before winter if you live in a colder climate. In southern climates, the winters are usually mild enough to work through winter. So, we’ll cover our various endeavors during the fall and winter seasons.
Finally, we can’t forget to mention all the fall recipes we love that have pumpkin spice, cinnamon & nutmeg🥧—Yum, yum!🧁 We can’t wait to make some of our favorites, like pumpkin muffins, sweet potato pie, and much more. We’ll share some of our recipes later in the season. In the meantime, you can check out some of our other recipes here.
