Potting and Garden Soils
WHY:
Garden and potting soils add extra nutrients to plants to create an optimal environment for growth. When planting in the ground, garden soils help enrich the different types of ground matter found in various regions. Garden soils are usually denser and help create a foundation to build strong roots. Potting soils are lighter and less compact allowing more air and better drainage. A potting soil’s consistency ensures plant roots have room to grow.
TYPES:
Both garden and potting soils have various options available, such as soils for shrubs and trees, fruits and vegetables, flowers, or general-purpose use. The difference between these soils is the nutrients they offer for plants to thrive. Some soils give a slow or continuous release of nutrients to help fertilize your plants over an extended period. We prefer these slow-release soils because they are more efficient and help reduce the number of times you have to fertilize each month.
