If you work hard to maintain a beautiful yard, you don’t want pesky neighborhood pets or other wildlife to damage it. Certainly, it’s never easy to accept damage to your property. But, it’s frustrating when wild animals such as squirrels, deer, rabbits, or other wildlife eat your plants or dig holes in your lawn. Although it should be no surprise when they emerge, especially in wooded areas. But, it’s still hard to bear.

However, when your pesky neighbors allow their pets to use the bathroom in your yard, it’s angering. It’s hard to believe that people can be this inconsiderate, yet they are. Animal urine and feces can kill your lawn and plants. And while both scenarios are problematic, one, undoubtedly, is more upsetting than the other. So what can you do?
Recently, we installed metal garden fencing in our front yard to help alleviate both issues. Thus far, our plants have been well protected behind the fencing. Deer and other wildlife have not been able to munch on our plants.

We also put up yard signs to help people understand it’s not appreciated when they allow their animals to use the bathroom on our property. So far, the signs have been effective because we have not seen walkers stopping with their animals for a bathroom break.
Wild animals are difficult to control, and no solution is a 100% guarantee. But, the combination of these two solutions has provided protection for our plants. And, even though the signs won’t stop wild animals and our grass is still open, it has helped deter thoughtless neighbors.
