Is there a difference between gardening and landscaping? The definitions from dictionary.com for each are as follows:
Gardening
"The act of cultivating or tending a garden," which is a plot of ground with flowers, shrubs, vegetables, fruits, or herbs.
Landscaping
"To improve the appearance of an area of land by planting trees, shrubs, or grass or altering the contours of the ground."
By these definitions, the terms are nearly the same, revealing that when you are gardening, you are also landscaping. And it is true! The more time and effort you put into your yard, you will see it transform. The look and design of your yard changes when you add or remove flowers, shrubs, and trees in different areas. You may start with one garden, but soon it becomes two, three, and so on, suddenly changing your landscape. It’s amazing what you can create while gardening, especially if you enjoy it. There are limitless ideas that you can design, which truly taps into your inner creativity.
