As a reminder from our 2022 announcements, we will highlight different flowers on the first Tuesday of each month. Each post will review flowers that are plantable during the current season. So, look out for our posts over the next couple of months showcasing cool-season flowers!

Pansies!
We couldn’t think of a better flower to begin our monthly flower facts. Pansies are a cool-season favorite. These small heart-shaped or round over-lapping flowers are great for garden beds, borders, and containers. During fall through early spring, you’ll see these reliable go-to flowers everywhere.
Pansies are a hybrid of violas and love rich, damp-soil, and cool climates. Pansies are annual plants, providing beautiful velvety flower petals for several seasons. They bloom in yellow, white, blue, purple, red, and orange colors. You’ll see these flowers planted in a monochromatic scheme or mixed colors. Whichever design you choose, you can’t go wrong with these hardy plants!
