Spring-2022 – Quick Tip #1
Up and down, up and down. That’s how the temperatures fluctuate during March through mid-April in the mid-southern part of the United States. It can be even longer in cooler climates. During these times, it’s important to protect your plants from frost and cold temperatures.
When temperatures dip below 40 degrees, we suggest taking precautions to prevent your spring blooms from wilting or dying. 🥀 The steps you take are similar to what you do when protecting plants during a winter storm. Watch for those frosty temperatures, and be sure to cover your tender plants. Also, wrap up or move potted plants indoors. Keep your coverings in place until evening temperatures are above 40 degrees again. Then, uncover and continue to enjoy your beautiful blooms.
